New Mini Rex join the rabbitry

I have to admit that I love spring time.  Because living where I am on 5 acres I get the opportunity to plant trees, and prepare and plant a vegetable garden.  But I think the best part for me this spring has been watching all the baby animals being born and grow.

We have a new litter of mini rex that has recently joined our rabbitry.  Our broken black doe Clarilla and our harlequin buck Makyis had a beautiful litter of five baby kits.  Born on April 9, 2019 we are pleased to say that they are all eating well and growing well.  We also learned that Clarilla carrying dilute and we look to have a broken blue in this litter.

My daughter Clarissa and I are looking forward to seeing how they grow and develop over the coming months.  As we also have two other litters currently in the nest box, we are really hoping that we will have some good looking show rabbits when they get bigger.  Only time will tell who is going to have the qualities we are looking for in our show rabbits.
