Southwest MO Hare Raisers Show

The girls and I had a great time at the Southwest Mo Hare Raisers show this past Saturday. We drove up with friends and the only drama we had was a flat tire after unloading all the rabbits at the show. It was quickly taken care of with the help of a fellow rabbit enthusiast and gentleman named Don who drove the tire and myself over to the shop next door so we could get it repaired. I am counting my blessings that it happened after we arrived and not during the trip on the freeway.

We also added some new additions to the rabbitry. Since Clarissa has decided to sell all of her Mini Rex and Kyrilene has showed an interest in attending the shows with us we are now the happy owners of 2 pairs of Mini Satins and a trio of chestnut colored Mini Lops. They have been settled into some quarantine space where they get to hang out for a month as we get to know them. A big thank you to Clarissa Brewer, April Chardt and Ashley Bradley for helping us get started with these new breeds.

Finally we were able to register 9 of our rabbits this trip and have sent off for a couple of grand champion certificates. We look forward to those arriving in the mail soon. And Seriah's English Spot buck BAS4 won his first show leg this weekend. It was so much fun to have enough spots and breeders there to have some competition and we really enjoyed meeting everyone. Our next adventure awaits as we move into spring breeding season and set our sights on the Stillwater, OK show at the end of March.
